The American Society of Journalists and Authors got its start in 1948 when a group of independent nonfiction writers got together to talk about how they could learn from and support each other as they navigated their careers in a changing publishing landscape. Seventy five years later, journalism and publishing just keep changing. And ASJA is still here to support freelance writers. As president of ASJA, I gave an update on the organization and celebrate 75-years of writers helping writers in this blog post on ASJA.org.
